Kirkland 'Hawk House' Returns In 2017 After Compromise
A spectacular tribute to the Seahawks in Christmas lights returns to Kirkland in 2017 after a hiatus last year.

KIKRLAND, WA - It's a tribute to the Seattle Seahawks so loud and proud that it's probably visible from outer space. And that's part of the problem.
After complaints, homeowner Anthony Mish didn't do his boldly bright "Hawk House" in 2016. But this year he's bringing it back after coming to a compromise with the city of Kirkland and local residents. Mish has a permit for the display this year and approval from the police, fire, and parks departments.
โWe hope the many people who drive by the show are respectful to the neighborโs property and keep in mind the street is home to families, many of whom have small children who will be trying to sleep," said Lynn Zwaagstra, director of Kirkland Parks and Community Services, in a city press release.
