The accident happened just before noon at a building along 5th Avenue.

KIRKLAND, WA - A Kirkland resident was pinned to his couch after a car crashed through the wall of his home Wednesday morning. The car belonged to the man's wife, but his wife's friend was driving, according to city officials.
The accident happened just before noon at 240 5th Avenue, just north of the downtown area. When police arrived, they found the man awake but trapped between his wife's car and the sofa. Kirkland firefighters were able to get him out and he was taken to the hospital.
The woman driving the car told police she was trying to park the car when she accidentally accelerated. The driver and the man's wife were also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
