Kirkland Named A Top Small City In The U.S.: Report
Out of 1,200 cities in the U.S., Kirkland came out as one of the best, according to the pesonal finance site WalletHub.

KIRKLAND, WA - Out of some 1,200 cities in the U.S., Kirkland has been ranked the 20th best, according to the personal finance site WalletHub. Other Eastside cities were also named among the top 100, including Redmond, Sammamish, and Issaquah.
Kirkland scored well overall for its economic health (No. 3 out of 1,200) and for education and health offerings (No. 80). But Kirkland got points off for affordability, coming in No. 661 overall.
The Washington cities that made the list, in fact, scored lots of points for economic health, but fared worse for affordability. Kirkland, Bothell, Sammamish, and Redmond all scored in the top 20 for economic health, but all but Sammamish were ranked 600 or higher for affordability.

Cities like Bellingham and Olympia ranked high on the list for quality of life (both in the top 30), but came in much lower on the list for affordability and economic health.
