Kirkland Police Arrest 'Prolific Car Prowler' Suspect

Investigators in Kirkland have arrested a 32-year-old man they believe was responsible for a string of car prowls in February.

KIRKLAND, WA — Kirkland Police have arrested a Duvall man suspected in a string of damaging car prowls at the Kingsgate Park and Ride in February. The police department said multiple victims reported their vehicles were broken into and damaged, including some who had their catalytic converters taken from their vehicles, costing them thousands to repair.

The case was assigned to the department's Pro-Act team, which worked through March to pinpoint a suspect, identified Wednesday as Tyler Walker, 32, of Duvall. Investigators said Walker was believed to be connected to several other car prowls and thefts in other cities.

According to police, Walker was taken into custody on Sunday with help from the King County Sheriff's Office. Police said his vehicle was seized, which investigators believe has stolen items and a reciprocating saw inside.
