Voyeurism Charge For Kirkland School Coach: Police
The Puget Sound Adventist Academy coach, Brenden Rajah, allegedly recorded girls in his office, police said.
KIRKLAND, WA - A volunteer coach at Puget Sound Adventist Academy has been arrested for suspected voyeurism. The coach, Brenden Rajah, allegedly filmed young girls changing into their basketball uniforms in his office, according to a Kirkland police spokesperson.
The videos were discovered by students using a school tablet, Kirkland police said. Rajah allegedly invited the girls into his office to change, and then secretly filmed them using the tablet, police said.
"Rajah was quickly identified because he had also recorded himself within the video footage, and could be seen adjusting the camera angle, turning the video on and off," a police press release reported.

The matter was reported to Kirkland police on Feb. 1 by the school. Police arrested Rajah at his home in Kirkland around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Police have seized other electronic devices from his home as part of the investigation.
Rajah formerly worked as the school's athletic director, according to Kirkland police. He is being held in the King County Jail without bail on a first-degree voyeurism charge.

About 90 students in grades 9 - 12 attend Puget Sound Adventist Academy, 5320 108th Ave. Northeast, according to the school's website. Rajah's profile on the school website lists him as the, "Athletic Director, Vice Principal of Student Relations, Physical Education." According to the bio, Rajah has taught at other schools in the area:
In addition, he coached volleyball and soccer at Walla Walla Valley Adventist Academy. He played Division 2 hockey for 5 years. Mr. Rajah was also the head coach for the U16 Sweets Club Volleyball team and head coach for Roger's Elementary School 7-8th grade track team.
