Lake Washington Extends School Year By 1 Day

Lake Washington School District adds one day to make up for snow day; the last day of school is now June 21.

From Lake Washington School District: Lake Washington School District will make up one snow day by extending the school year by one day. The last day of school, a half day, will move from Wednesday, June 20, to Thursday, June 21.

The LWSD calendar has been updated as follows:

  • Wednesday June 20 will be a full school day for students
  • Thursday, June 21 will be the last day of school. It will be a half (1/2) day for students and a full day for staff. See the list of half-day dismissal times.

State law requires students to attend school a minimum of 180 days and 1027 hours per year. When school is cancelled due to snow or inclement weather, those days and hours of instruction must be made up.
