Lend a hand restoring Juanita Heights Park

Volunteer at Juanita Heights Park

Join neighbors and the Friends of Juanita Heights Park to rid this amazing park of invasive ivy.

When: April 25th 9am-11am

PLEASE REGISTER at www.greenkirkland.org

Where to meet: at the wooden sign at top of stair. Please use below directions to get to the park (GoogleMaps will take you the wrong way)

What to Bring: Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools and training will be provided

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Click here to download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteer under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Directions to the park:

From I-405 heading North:
Take the NE 116th St turnoff from the I-405 and turn left on NE 116th St.
At the bottom of the hill, go straight across where NE 116th St becomes Juanita Dr NE.
Turn right onto NE 122nd Pl NE
As you go along this road, NE 122nd Pl becomes NE 123rd St.
At 5-way stop go straight up the hill onto NE 124th St.
Turn left onto 88th Pl NE.
Turn slight right onto NE 127th Pl.
Take the 1st right onto 89th Pl NE and drive to end of road and find a parking spot.

From I-405 heading South:
Take NE 124th St turnoff from the I-405 and turn right.
Carry on heading west on NE 124th St.
Turn left onto 100th Ave NE.
Stay straight to go onto NE 120th Pl.
Stay straight to go onto 98th Ave NE.
Take the 3rd right onto Juanita Dr. NE.
Turn right onto NE 122nd Pl. NE
