Kirkland Homicide Suspect Arrested: Police
Kirkland police responded to a home in the Totem Lake area around 2 a.m., but the suspect had fled the scene.
KIRKLAND, WA — A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a violent incident at a Kirkland home early Friday morning. The suspect fled the scene, but was arrested at his home in Redmond, Kirkland police said.
"About 8 a.m., Kirkland officers located the person of interest as he was exiting a residence in Redmond. The person of interest is in police custody. Kirkland detectives believe there are currently no outstanding suspects in this homicide. There will be police on scene throughout the next few days while processing takes place, and as the investigation of this homicide continues," police said in a statement Friday afternoon.
Around 2 a.m., police responded to a home along the 12908 block of 131st Avenue Northeast on a report of a disturbance. One man in the home was dead when police arrived. The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

Police believe the suspect knew the people he attacked. There were several other people in the home, but it appeared they were not hurt.
The home where the murder happened is along the south side of 132nd Square Park, and just east of EvergreenHealth Medical Center.
