Man Struck While Crossing I-405 on Foot Dies at Harborview
Joseph L. Barker, 27, died at Harborview after being struck by a Jeep Friday night while he ran across the lanes of Interstate 405, the Washington State Patrol announced Sunday.

A Seattle man struck by a Jeep Friday night while running across the lanes of Interstate 405 has died at Harborview Medical Center, the Washington State Patrol announced Sunday.
Joseph L. Barker, 27, was struck by a Jeep Cherokee when he left a car driven by Perise Peseta, 25, of Bellevue, and attempted to cross the northbound lanes of Interstate 405 Friday night near 112th Street SE, south of Bellevue.

Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Trooper Julie Judson told The Seattle Times the two got into an argument while they were pulled to the right side of the interstate.
He was struck by the Cherokee and taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The Washington State Patrol issued a memo late Sunday that Barker had died.

The driver of the Cherokee that struck Barker was treated at the scene and released. Peseta was not injured. WSP is still investigating the incident.
It was the second time in a week that someone exited a vehicle on I-405. On Thursday morning, a woman jumped out of a moving car and was nearly hit by a semi in Kirkland.
