New Wine Tasting Room Coming to Woodinville’s Tourist District

An old gas station is being converted to tasting rooms for wineries and possibly restaurants.

One of the three Rs of sustainability, reuse, is being practiced in the remodeling of the old Hollywood Hill Chevron station at the corner of 148th Avenue NE and NE 145th Street in the heart of Woodinville's Tourist District.

The building is being expanded and will house wine-tasting rooms, and the parking lot will be expanded to include spaces on the back side of the old station, according to Tony Shaheen, owner of the property.

The old underground gas tanks have been removed and grading has been started on the new parking lot. Shaheen said there is a possibility of a restaurant as well as wine tasting rooms, but he had no details at this time.
