Police Searching Yard For Missing Kenmore Mother's Remains

Police were excavating a yard near Kirkland Thursday in search of the remains of Jamie Haggard who went missing last June.

KENMORE, WA - Investigators from the King County Sheriff's Office were excavating the yard of a Kenmore home Thursday in search of the remains of a missing mother of two. Jamie Haggard, 27, went missing in June 2016. She has not been seen since, and this is the second time investigators have tried to recover her remains.

The King County Sheriff's Office reported on Thursday afternoon that the search did not find any signs of Haggard.

Police say that new information spurred them to search a Kenmore home, which is located along the 8200 block of Northeast 145th Street. The location of the search is close to the Kirkland border east of Bastyr University.

Haggard disappeared on June 8 last year, and on July 16, King County investigators searched her former home, which is also located along the 8200 block of 145th, though it's unclear if police were searching the same location on Thursday. At the time, they excavated portions of the yard of the home, but did not turn up any remains. Shortly after her disappearance, all activity on her bank accounts stopped, according to police.
