Class is held at Kirkland Arts Center Mezzanine Studio (second floor)

In this three-part workshop you will learn to build an expressive head and how to complete it using cold finish techniques. If you have been intimidated by the face previously or want to learn new tricks and techniques, this is the perfect workshop for you! The first two classes will include demos on Sandra’s building techniques and hands-on time to construct a head which will be fired before the last class. Sandra breaks down each feature into easy-to-follow steps making this a great intro for sculpting the face. The third class will focus on cold finishes including paint, dry pigments, patinas, and beeswax. You will have the opportunity to practice various cold finish techniques on your head from the first class. Clay will be provided. Please bring a lunch.
