Studio East Leonardo Productions and Harmonica Legend at KPC

Things going on around Kirkland today, Saturday, Feb. 12.

  • Studio East presents a two-production mini-series on the life of Leonardo Da Vinci called “Strokes of Genius.”  At the 2:30 p.m. show is “Through the Eyes of Leonardo Da Vinici”, a theatrical demonstration and audience participatory reenactment into the imagination of Leonardo Da Vinci. At the 7:30 p.m. show entitled “Flying Lessons” the audience will learn about the four forces of flight - thrust, lift, drag and gravity - and about overcoming challenges to reach one’s own personal genius. Arriving 30 minutes before either show gives audience members the chance to perform on stage. Tickets are $9 apiece or $30 per family of four. Call 425-820-1800 for ticket information.
  • The StoryBook Theater presents three productions of  “Jack & The Beanstalk” at the Kirkland Performance Center. Shows are at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. All seats are $9 and this performance is recommended for ages 3 and up.
  • Take in harmonica legend Lee Oskar as he performs romantic melodies and lyrical paintings this Valentine’s weekend at the Kirkland Performance Center. The show starts at 8 p.m. with a pre-show free wine tasting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for Choice and $30 for Prime.
