VALA Eastside's President, Stephane Boss, believes the new location will better suit the needs of the organization.

From VALA Eastside: VALA Eastside announces the move of their art center from Redmond to Kirkland, Washington along with changing its name to VALA Arts. “When I founded the organization in 2010, I always meant for the organization to fill a gap in the community that was needed at the time. We have done that while residing in Redmond and, as a 501c3 arts organization, we’ll continue to fulfill our mission of connecting artists to artists, artists to the community and the community to art in Kirkland," says VALA Co-Founder and Chair, Jessica Kravitz.

“As an organization, we’re sensitive to the fact that Kirkland has an established arts center so we’ve respectfully changed our name from VALA Art Center to VALA Arts. We look forward to becoming a part of the existing creative community,” says Kravitz.

The public is invited to attend the grand opening of VALA Arts on Friday, October 5, 2018, which aligns with the unveiling of the next art installation entitled Gatesville, WA led by Zachary Burns and funded by 4Culture.
