Violent Car Theft In Kirkland: Police Looking For This Suspect
The victim was seriously injured after he was dragged during the theft of a truck in the Totem Lake area.
KIRKLAND, WA - Snohomish County detectives are looking for a man who they say carried out several violent car thefts around the region recently. Police believe Jeremy Hill, 34, is hiding out somewhere in the Monroe area.
Hill has a felony warrant related to crimes in Seattle, but the Snohomish County Auto Task Force wants to arrest him on charges of first-degree robbery and two counts of auto theft. Here are the incidents police say Hill carried out recently:
- Seattle, Aug. 8 - Hill, accompanied by a woman, stole a Subaru near the intersection of North 105th Street and Aurora Avenue.
- Mill Creek, Aug. 9 - Hill and two other people stole a Toyota Highlander from the 13200 block of Bothell-Everett Highway in the Murphy's Corner area. The truck was stolen while the owner left it running while making a trip to a donation box. The driver's wife tried to stop Hill, but he drove the car away, dragging the 63-year-old woman 18 feet. She was seriously injured.
- Monroe, Aug. 13 - Hill stole a Ford Explorer from the 19500 block of U.S. 2 in Monroe.
- Kirkland, Aug. 15 - Hill stole a truck from a construction site in the Totem Lake area. The truck driver tried to stop Hill by grabbing him through the window. The victim fell and was seriously injured.
