Want To Serve? Kirkland City Council Needs You
The city is accepting inquiries from Kirkland residents to fill a recent vacancy.
KIRKLAND, WA - There's an opportunity for local residents to help make Kirkland great again - or, if you think it's already great, to help keep it that way.
There's a vacancy on the Kirkland City Council, and the city is now accepting resumes to fill Position No. 2. Shelley Kloba is leaving the Council to serve in the state House representing Kirkland, Bothell, and Mountlake Terrace.
To be eligible, you have to be a Kirkland resident (for at least one year), and be a registered voter in King County. The city will accept inquiries for the position through Dec. 8. at 4 p.m. To apply, send a letter of interest and your resume to City Clerk Kathi Anderson at kanderson@kirklandwa.gov, or drop off the materials at City Hall.

Council members Dave Asher, Toby Dixon, and Penny Sweet will review applications and make recommendations for Kloba's replacement during a Dec. 13 special meeting.
