It’s Thursday, and you’re scratching you noggin wondering, what am I going to do this weekend? Kirkland Patch is here to help. We’ve got some ideas for your weekend time. Check out the following.
- Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the Horticulture Complex of .
- Why Go: If you missed last weekend's LWTC Plant Sale, you're in luck. It's happening again this weekend! So stop by, and pick up a few new additions for your garden and help support the LWTC Environmental Horticulture program. Every plant for the sale was grown from seed or cuttings by Lake Washington Technical College's Environmental Horticulture students.
- Pricing: Admission is free, specials will be listed on the events Facebook page. Please help conserve resources by bringing boxes for your purchases.

- Where/When: 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. Fri, April 29 at the .
- Why Go: Start your weekend off with some free live music. Scramble will be rocking the Yuppie Pawn all night long. Not sure if Scramblesuit is your thing? Sample a few of their songs from the band’s Myspace page.
- Pricing: No cover.
- Where/When: 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
- Why Go: If comedy is what you’re after this weekend, you won’t have to travel very far to get it. Tommy Johnagin will be performing two shows on Friday and Saturday night at Laughs in Kirkland. - Where/When: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Sat, April 30 at the .
- Why Go: The Kirkland Arts Center is kicking their Spring and Summer events with Lacavore, an event to celebrate local food, wine and art. Enjoy food from local favorites like Hector's and Lynn's Bistro. The best wines from Airfield Estates and Northwest Cellars. And of course art, over 50 artists participating in the Kirkland Artist Studio Tour will be auctioning their artwork at the event.
- Pricing: $25.00 per person.
- Where/When: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Sat, April 30 at the Watershed Preserve in Redmond. (Note: This is a different park than Watershed Park in Kirkland).
- Why Go: Help celebrate Arbor Day by planting native trees in the forest of the Watershed Preserve. All you need to do is bring a pair of gloves and a willingness to help our forests.

- Where/When: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the in Bellevue.
- Why Go: Love the idea of shopping at Goodwill but can’t seem to find the name brand items you really want? That shouldn’t be the case this weekend at Goodwill’s Designer Label Sale. Come and enjoy the savings as you shop for all your favorite brands of jeans, shoes, handbags, and more.
- Price: Admission is free. The net proceeds from the sale will benefit Goodwill's free job training and education programs.
