- Why Go: Join artist Betz Bernhard and have fun making prints from natural materials with an etching press and printing inks. This class is designed for adults and children 11 or older.

- Why Go: Meet Mark Long, Jim Demonakos and Nate Powell; creators of the newly published The Silence of Our Friends, a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story set in 1967 Texas, against the backdrop of the civil rights struggle. With art from the brilliant Nate Powell (Swallow Me Whole) bringing the tale to heart-wrenching life.

- Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Greenway Native Plant Nursery in Issaquah.
- Why Go: The Greenway Native Plant Nursery is home to nearly 15,000 native trees and shrubs. The trees and shrubs at the nursery are potted by volunteers and will grow for 1-2 years before being planted in parks and forests along I-90. These trees and shrubs are an important part of keeping our natural areas healthy and potting these plants is the first step in restoring the areas along the Mountains to Sound Greenway.
