1 Killed When Speeding Street Racer Hits Pickup In Spanaway
Troopers say two drivers had been racing when one slammed into a bystander's pickup, killing the truck's driver.

SPANAWAY, WA — One person has died after a street race led to a hit-and-run collision in Spanaway Wednesday afternoon.
According to Washington State Patrol Troopers, two passenger cars had been racing and "traveling recklessly" down 174th Street, when one ran a stop sign onto SR-7. But as the car pulled onto the state route, it slammed into a bystander's pickup truck that had been in the road heading north. Photos of the crash site show that the force of the collision caused both the speeding car and the pickup to roll into the yard of a nearby US Bank.
Update: The passenger car in the picture, against the bank sign, was observed traveling recklessly with a white Honda east on 174th Street near SR-7. The passenger car ran the stop sign, striking the pickup that was traveling north on SR-7. -NAS https://t.co/eu2wolM9Z8 pic.twitter.com/sGmOnbZg2M
