2 Children Die In Lakewood Murder-Suicide

LAKEWOOD, WA - A husband and wife and their two young daughters were found dead in a Lakewood apartment Thursday night in a suspected murder-suicide.

Police responded to an apartment along the 7200 block of 150th Street Southwest around 8 p.m. Thursday after a woman living there missed an appointment. When officers entered the apartment, they found a 26-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman dead. One of the children was almost 2, the other was almost 3.

"This appears to be a tragic case of family violence involving a possible murder/suicide scenario. It appears that the children died from homicidal violence, but at this point in the investigation it is unknown the role each parent played in this incident," Lt. Chris Lawler said in a statement released Thursday.
