25-Cent Bandit Caught At Parkland Bowling Alley
Police believe this guy has stolen close to $17,000 in quarters from machines across Pierce County.

PARKLAND, WA - This thief was apparently amassing a fortunate the slowest way possible - 25 cents at a time. Pierce County Deputies caught the suspect while he was jacking quarters from arcade games at Paradise Village Bowl on Monday night.
Deputies responded to the bowling alley and found the suspect seated inside a driving arcade game. They cuffed him and found him in possession of some tools, a fake wig, and just over $70 in quarters. Bowling alley employees told police the thief had been "trying to attack" workers with a screwdriver.
Later, police spoke to the person who owns the arcade games. He told police someone has stolen some $17,000 from his machines across Pierce County recently. Police believe the man they caught is responsible for all that theft - about 68,000 quarters in total.

The 31-year-old suspect was taken to jail on charges of second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of heroin, and warrants for violating a domestic violence protection order and escape from community custody.
