Brokerage Associate

Sherman Bros Trucking is seeking an experienced sales minded, and customer service driven individual for our Brokerage Associate position in Lakewood, WA. Headquartered in Harrisburg, Oregon, SBI is one of the largest and most diverse transportation companies on the coast. Operating for over 40 years, we have a fleet of over 300 company owned trucks with multiple Logistic Departments located throughout the U.S.

Skills Required
*Sales and/or Customer experience required.
*Ability to demonstrate strong sales, customer service, business development, and account maintenance skills.
*Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the Internet

Qualifications
Demonstrate strong organizational, customer service and negotiation skills; the ability to build relationships over the phone; the willingness to perform cold calls and routinely follow up with existing and prospective customers; ability to negotiate customer rates and carrier pay while maintaining gross profit margin goals. This position requires the ability to accurately enter orders and dispatch from the computer in an efficient manner and deal with many details. Knowledge of trucking industry and geography are a plus, however will be willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation
*$3000 - $3350/month, plus monthly bonus pay
