Arrest Made In 2015 Lakewood Murder Of Danny Guerin
Police arrested David Earl Ray Gallegos on Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree murder.
LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police have made an arrest in the 2015 stabbing death of Danny Guerin. On Wednesday, police arrested David Earl Ray Gallegos on suspicion of second-degree murder. Guerin was found stabbed to death in the parking lot at Seeley Lake Park.
The arrest comes after recent developments in the investigation, chiefly the discovery of a new DNA profile pulled from crime-scene evidence. Police were able to enter the new evidence into a nationwide database.
Guerin was killed on Aug. 27, 2015, as he was standing near his truck at the park. Police obtained surveillance video from the scene showing a then-unidentified pedestrian approaching the spot where Guerin was killed.

Gallegos has a long arrest record in Pierce County for crimes like malicious mischief, criminal trespass, burglary, and felony harassment.
