Man Who Killed Animals in Lakewood to Stand Trial
Matthew G. Williams told people his urge to kill was intensifying. Judge Frank Cuthbertson set bail at $1 million.

It started with allegedly killing animals but his plans could've been much worse.
Matthew G. Williams, a 19-year-old Pierce County man, was allegedly training to become a serial killer. Not guilty pleas, according to The Tacoma News Tribune, were entered on Monday.
Williams allegedly tortured animals, including killing his father's cat. He's also being accused of watching Internet videos of others being abused or killed to train himself to be a serial killer, the TNT stated.

Charges against Williams include first-degree animal cruelty, dangerous weapons, unlawfully carrying or handling weapons capable of producing bodily harm, second-degree assault, felony harassment, physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence and unlawful possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Judge Frank Cuthbertson is holding Williams on $1 million bail because of his threat to the public.
