Eye-Conic

Here are makeup tips that will turn heads.

From ancient Egyptian to modern-chic, the sexy “cat eye” will forever be a makeup classic. This seamless look is easy to pull off with the right tools! Here is your get-it guide of how to tailor your very own wings:

1) Use ONLY a gel or liquid eyeliner. A pencil eyeliner is too soft to pull off the sharpness of the lines you want to create. If you aren’t a pro with liquid liner just yet, opt for a gel liner, they are way easier to work with and will achieve the same look. Most cosmetic lines make a gel liner that come in a small pot. I like Stilla’s Smudgepot ($20) in black.

2) Any artist will tell you, the right brushes are essential…invest ladies! Liquid liners are usually supplied with a felt-tip wand, again if skilled enough, use it. If using a gel liner, you will want to purchase an angled brush (I personally prefer the gel with angled brush application).

3) Starting from the very inner corner of your eye, quickly drag your dipped brush across the lashline. Just before you reach the opposite side of the lashline, flick your wrist in an upward motion (remember quickly is key here!). The angled brush will give you a winged tip when you do this.

4) Skip the liner on the bottom eyelid for the classic look, but coat both your top and bottom lashes in a good mascara.

5) Turn heads!
