Grave effort to hold fundraiser
Here's an event scheduled to add to the Western State Hospital cemetery effort, Patch blogger writes.

Grave Concerns Association, the nonprofit group that is dedicated to restoring the historic Western State Hospital Patient Cemetery, will be holding a Restaurant Take-Over, Silent Auction and Raffle Tuesday, March 27 at Carr’s Restaurant and Bar, 11006 Bridgeport Way SW in Lakewood. Doors open at 4 p.m.
All money from the auction and raffle, as well as a portion of the proceeds for meals purchased at the restaurant during the event, will support the group’s efforts to replace the deteriorated numbered markers with engraved stone monuments bearing the name, year of birth and year of death of each person. The project’s goal is to restore dignity for the deceased patients, their families and anyone whose life has been touched by mental health challenges.
