Is Carroll to Blame for the Seahawks' Woes?
Carroll's reputation has been stellar in college but questionable at best in the NFL.

What is going on in Seattle? At first I was exited and really bought into what Pete Carroll was selling. He brought a fresh new attitude to Seattle and the enthusiasm and spark the Seahawks needed.
But now that we are halfway through our second season under Carroll — sitting at a measly 2-6 record — I am not so sure anymore. When you look at Carroll’s resume it’s not impressive from an NFL standpoint. He was 33-31 before Seattle.
Both of which was when he was a head coach for New England. He was let go after the 1999 season and made his way back to coaching in college. While at USC won two national championships and six Pac-10 trophies, all in a span of 8 years.

There's no doubt he is one of the more successful coaches in college history.
But the problem I have with Carroll is not so much I don’t think he can’t be a successful coach in the NFL, but that he has failed to make the transition between the two. Look at Sunday’s game against the Bengals. It was one of the worst displays of play-calling and clock management I have seen in a long time.

And all that enthusiasm and energy still hasn't translated into a consistent winning pattern.
Now everyone is asking if Pete Carroll is the right man for the job. Coach Carroll has yet to reach above .500. He has made moves that everyone, myself included, have questioned. He says things like we are going to run the ball more, then only attempts to rush the ball 20 times. He says Jackson is our man then starts Whitehurst, even though Jackson was healthy enough to play.
His decision-making with timeouts and controlling the clock honestly leaves me scratching my head.
Do you feel Pete Carroll is the right man for the job in Seattle? I understand he's not playing the game but do you think a different coach might help the Seattle's chances of winning?
