Kiwanis Club of Clover Park Serves Thanksgiving Dinner At Boys & Girls Club

The Kiwanis Club of Clover Park leant a helping hand to The Boys & Girls Club of Lakewood again. Two weeks ago it was with a $1000 check to help pay for membership for those families in need as well as food for their after-school nutrition program.

Last week, Kiwanis was on hand to dish out Thanksgiving dinners to local youth and their families. 10 Clover Park Kiwanians supplied approximately 350 individuals with Thanksgiving turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and all of the other fixings on Friday, November 16th. 285 of those individuals were kids from the Boys & Girls Club.

We, at Kiwanis, direct our passion to the enhancement of children in our community. When we help a child, we are helping the child’s family and child’s community as well. We give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed. We also raise funds in support of various local programs.
