Lakewood City Council Meetings are Viewable Online
Interested people can watch the latest Lakewood City Council meetings on the Internet.

Did you miss Monday's Lakewood City Council meeting? Do you hate the chairs in council chambers? Do you just want to see one segment of the meeting?
Youth members of the Lakewood Computer Clubhouse have been creating video of City Council meetings at City Hall for several months. They can be viewed by clicking here (Vimeo.com) or, if you don't have this link handy go to vimeo.com and search for "Lakewood City Council".
The Clubhouse kids shoot the City Council meetings only. The special session City Council meetings at the police station are not recorded, not yet.

It has taken a few tries. Some videos are better than others, but now the sound is good (better than live because of no echo), and the kids have a two-camera system working. However, the videos will always be youth-produced so be prepared for the fact that they are not perfect. The city gains good video coverage for free, citizens gain access to meetings online and our youth gain marketable experience. I call that a win, win and win.
Youths ages 13-18 who are interested in being part of the Lakewood City Council video team recording should contact Kurt Sample at 253-651-2863.
