Lakewood Farmers Market 8-21-12

Greetings: Just getting home from the New Lakewood Farmers Market! Really enjoyed seeing the community come out and support our new market!  Heard a little grumbling from my fellow vendors! Some times they will tell other vendors things they will not tell the managers!  Most vendors don't want to speak to managers unless they really have to!  One farmer from Yakima I talked into trying out the new market did not come back today! I knew he wasn't very happy last week! Didn't sell enough to make the drive from Yakima! So the thought for the day is: Please buy from the farmers! Most of them come long distances to provide us with fresh fruits/veggies.  I am still working on figuring out my new camera! I have taken several lovely pictures of the dogs coming thru the market! As soon as I figure out how to share them I promise I will!  As far as the rating for the day: I will give it an 8!  Some of the farmers are complaining they need to be up on the street level to show Lakewood it is a farmers market! I am hoping next week the expand the market onto the other side of the front entrance: where the grass is!  And I WISH the market manager would wear an orange vest! I get asked several times a day, where is the market manager? You have to wear something to stand out! So you can say: he/she is the person wearing the orange vest! Please and Thank you!
