Lakewood's Food Bank Experiencing Hard Times

Donations are down and needs are up. Lakewood's largest Food Bank is running low on supplies.

Clients of the Food Bank located at the on Steilacoom Boulevard are finding supplies limited. Donations are down and needs have increased. Food Bank managers are reporting increasing clients from the local military population and the senior citizens in Lakewood.

Wal-Mart has been making generous donations, which has been keeping the Food Bank functional. General supplies, however, are in rare supply.  The Food Bank is seeking more donations from the public, in the form of donated food items or money. Money donated to the charity can be used to purchase food at reduced cost and goes further than the donated food items.

Please, Lakewood citizens and organizations, if you are able, make donations to the Food Bank now.  The need is increasing.
