I have received many telephone calls and e-mails from people in the community wanting to help with the New Lakewood Community Farmers Market! The profit from the market will go to our local Little Church on the Prairie for helping people in our Lakewood Community! When I get back to town, which I hope is very soon, I will be planning a community meeting so we can put all of the parts together. I still would like to hear from more community members willing to help with the festivities! Would really like to see this market with a lot of energy and fun for everyone! A Farmers Market should be a place everyone wants to come and have a good time and buy local products. Thanks to the many community members who have already contacted me. I think we can use as many people as possible to pull this off! I would like to hear from the Russian community, we have so many different ethnic groups in Lakewood, I would really like all of them to be represented at the market! My idea is: each week we represent a different group, with food, dance, produce, from that country! And possibily a game from each country for the children to learn how to play, so it could be educational for the children. Maybe even our local school's would like to get involved. Do we have anyone from India reading this? Would love to hear from you! 253 228-3444! Til next time! Have a great day, Lakewood!
