Clover Park Schools Now On Facebook

District also launches a Twitter for up-to-date info and more.

When schools are closed for snow, when kindergarten registration is scheduled, when an administrator retires -- this is information that parents need to know.

The Clover Park School District now has a new way to relay information to community members: social media. The district now has both a Facebook page and a Twitter account.

"Clover Park School District is utilizing social media as a tool to communicate with students, staff, families and community members," said Communications Manager Jayme Taylor. "Consider 'liking' and 'following' the district for news, announcements and pictures of students and staff in action."

CPSD launched its Facebook on Monday, and in addition to up-to-date information on events, school closures and more, the page features profiles, photos and more about students, faculty and staff. Links to the posts -- and external stories -- are available on the district's Twitter feed.

Among the posts during its inaugural week are photos of the district's float in last weekend's Daffodil Parade and news of five student artists from Lakes High School having work featured in Pierce College's Annual High-School Art Exhibition.
