Five Guys Burgers and Fries Restaurant Coming to Lakewood

Lakewood is set for a burger joint upgrade.

The new Five Guys Burgers and Fries has an anticipated opening of Jan. 15 in the , according to Jed Craig, vice president/leasing director for Inland US Management LLC, a subsidiary of Inland Western Retail Real Estate Trust.

The 2,900-square-foot business will be situated between the and Gentle Dental at the entrance off Bridgeport Way, Craig said.

Five Guys ranks as the fastest-growing American restaurant, according to Stores Magazine's annual Hot 100 rankings. The company has more than 900 locations nationwide and became instantly known when President Obama visited a Washington, D.C., store in February 2009, ordering burgers and fries for himself and staffers at the White House. He also ordered a cheeseburger for NBC anchor Brian Williams, who was doing a segment on a day in the life of the new president.

The Lakewood Towne Center is a 578,761-square-foot retail and restaurant hub. , , , and are the anchor tenants.
