Detectives Searching For Missing University Place Mother

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says a 37-year-old woman has been missing since mid-August.

LAKEWOOD, WA — Detectives with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department are searching for a 37-year-old woman who vanished two months ago. Rachael Collins is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. According to the sheriff's department, Collins left her home in University Place to board a bus on August 12th and has not been seen since. She posted a photo on social media that same day but has not been active since. Collins' children, mother, grandmother and close friends say they have not heard anything from her since the disappearance.

Detectives say she has been known to visit the Hilltop area of Tacoma and the City of Lakewood. Anyone that knows how she is doing or has information on her whereabouts is encouraged to contact the sheriff's department.
