December 1st is the due date for applications by which to have critical home repairs made for families and individuals in need. These projects can include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, roofing, windows, doors and more. In order to qualify for services, a person must 1) own their home, 2) be low-income, 3) be either elderly, a person with a disability, or a family with children. Applications are also accepted any time for year-round home modifications - projects that ensure someone with limited mobility can stay safe and independent in their home - like accessibility ramps, handrails, grab bars, etc.
