PARKLAND, WA - A fatal accident involving a car and a semi on eastbound SR 512 at the intersection of SR 7 resulted the closure of both directions of SR 512 early Wednesday morning, according to state patrol. The eastbound side remained closed for several hours, but both sides were cleared and reopened by 6:30 a.m.

A short time later, a state Department of Transportation vehicle that was responding to the initial crash was struck by an oncoming car.
