Final Sentence In Lakewood Drug Hit Handed Down
Robert Leon Smith Jr. was sentenced for his role in a 2012 drug hit that went wrong.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A man who participated in a botched 2012 drug hit here has been sentenced to seven years in prison for second-degree manslaughter, according to reports.
Robert Leon Smith Jr., 37, was part of a group of seven people who planned to kill a Lakewood drug dealer, but ended up killing the dealer's cousin and roommate instead. Smith pleaded guilty on Friday to charges of second-degree manslaughter and residential burglary.
At the sentencing, Smith's family and several corrections officers from the Puyallup jail, where Smith was being held, wrote letters on his behalf, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune.
