Fires Set At Lakewood Church, City Park; Police Search For Arsonist
Someone set five fires early in the morning on July 14, according to Lakewood police.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police are searching for the person responsible for lighting a series of five separate fires in the downtown area early in the morning on July 14. The fires were set at a number of locations over the course of about an hour, causing damage to buildings and other objects.
The first fire was lit around 4:20 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, followed by two at trash cans across the street from the church at Active Park. Then, a Dumpster was set on fire south of the park along Bridgeport Way near the NAPA Auto Parts store.
The final fire was found northwest of the Towne Center area near the intersection of 101st Street Southwest and 47th Avenue Southwest.
