Gravelly Lake ARCO Gas Station Off Interstate 5 Freeway Closes

Vehicles entered and exited with the same amount of gas.

That's because the ARCO gas station off Gravelly Lake—one of the closest to the freeway in Lakewood—closed down for business recently. Signs on the window read no gas, no bathrooms and closed.

Motorist like the one in a Ford Mustang on Monday used the gas station because of its close proximity to Interstate 5. A 76 gas station and convenient store is located across the street, but many used Arco because it sometimes sold cheaper gas.

Patch will provide an update as to why the Arco has gone out of business.
