Happy Teriyaki #4 Serves Up Fresh Sushi

At least once a month my husband and I schedule a date night to sneak out and indulge in our guilty pleasure. No, it’s not although that’s awesome too; it’s a fresh plate of skillfully rolled sushi and a bubble tea.

serves 47 different kinds of sushi. And on any given day, at least three of them are running as a special. We’ve been eating there for 5 years and still haven’t tried them all. My best pick? The Yummy Yummy Roll made with crab meat, avocado, shrimp tempura and cream cheese.

Prices run from $4.95 to $12.00 and you can mix and match depending on what you’re in the mood for. At Happy Teriyaki it isn’t just the food that’s excellent, so is the service. I love it when our server sits us down and turns to my husband to ask if he’s having the pork bulgogi. It doesn’t matter how long it has been since the last time we were there, she always remembers our favorites.

There are many Happy Teriyaki’s to choose from in Pierce County, but don’t be fooled. Our Lakewood location is one of the best. Head out there this weekend and don’t forget to try a bubble tea.
