Harrison Prep Knowledge Bowl Team To Compete in State Tourney on Saturday in Spokane

The Lakewood school's team won the ESD 113 Regional 2B Championship last month. This is the second year the school has participated in the state competition.

will flex its knowledge muscles this weekend in hopes to bring a state title home to Lakewood.

The school's Knowledge Bowl team is coming off a big win last month at the ESD 113 Regional Tournament for the 2B Dvision, where it beat Adna and Northwest Christian in the championship.

The win gave Harrison Prep the right to compete in the state competitionfor small schools Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College, the second year it has gone to state.

According to Dean of Students Robert de Grouchy, the academic knowledge competition consists of a written round of 50 questions, four preliminary rounds of 45 questions, a semifinal round and a final round.

Harrison Prep's team consists of Greg Cripps, Chaise Conn, Tanner Drew, James-Victor Alvarez, Jay Adams and Paul Caswell, along with coaches de Grouchy and Ryan Chute. (They kindly provided a picture to Patch that I posted in the media gallery)
