I-5 Lane Closures This Weekend In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, WA — WSDOT is warning drivers to plan ahead for a series of closures on I-5 in the Lakewood area this weekend.

The closures will work as follows:

Saturday, June 20

• A single lane of northbound I-5 will be closed from 10 p.m. to midnight
• A second lane will be added, making it a two lane closure from midnight to 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
• The northbound exit to Berkeley street and the Berkeley Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
• The Northbound exit to Throne Lane will be closed from 10 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

If weather rains out construction Saturday, crews will then cancel the closures and close the following roads on Sunday:

• A single lane of northbound I-5 will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 10: 30 p.m.
• A second lane will be added, making it a two lane closure from 10: 30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Monday.
• The northbound exit to Berkeley street and the Berkeley Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed from 8:30 p.m. p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Monday.
• The Northbound exit to Throne Lane will be closed from8:30 p.m. p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Monday.

If Sunday is also rained out, crews will postpone the construction until next weekend.
