ID Suspect In Fire At Lakewood Construction Site

The suspect in the pictures was likely acting as a lookout while someone else stole gas from a vehicle, Lakewood police reported.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Lakewood police need help identifying a man wanted in connection to a fire at a local construction site. The man in the pictures was most likely acting as a lookout while his colleague tried to steal gas from a truck, police said.

According to police, the man who was stealing gas did so by drilling into the gas tank. His drilling ignited the fuel and caused a fire at the construction site. That man was likely burned in the fire, but he has not sought treatment at any local hospitals, police said.

The fire happened Oct. 5 around 6 p.m. along the 11000 block of Lakeview Avenue Southwest.
