Update: Lakes High Girls Basketball Coach Fired
Daniel Guy is no longer leading the Lancers and alleges he was unfairly terminated. Dave McEachern is the team's replacement.
Lakes High School girls basketball coach Daniel Guy has been fired. The Clover Park School District did not comment on the recent termination but provided Patch with a statement:
"This is a personnel matter," said Gary Wilson, assistant district superintendent. "The school district has followed all appropriate policies and procedures including the Athletics and Activities Association/Clover Park Education Association contract."
Guy did not return Patch's call as of Thursday. A letter he submitted claims unjust termination. He was the Lancers coach for three years.

Dave McEachern has replaced Guy for the remainder of the season. The Lancers (15-3 overall 6-2 South Puget Sound League 3A) are in second place behind Auburn Mountainview who they recently beat 53-42 at home on Jan. 25.
