Lakewood Convenience Store Owner Stabbed To Death

LAKEWOOD, WA — Lakewood Police are searching for a man they believe stabbed and killed a convenience store owner during a robbery Monday night. Officers arrived at McChord Mart, on Solberg Drive, just after 10 p.m. and quickly found an unresponsive woman with several wounds. According to police, medics rushed the woman to the hospital, but she did not survive. Authorities have identified the victim as 59-year-old In Choe.

Detectives were able to pull videos and still images from the store's surveillance camera, showing a man they suspect is the killer. The most distinct feature, investigators noted, is a "Disobey" brand logo on the back of the man's hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen leaving the scene of the crime on-foot, headed north on Bridgeport Way Southwest.

Police ask anyone who may recognize the suspect to call 911 or submit an anonymous tip through Crimestoppers or the Lakewood PD website.
