Lakewood Cops Vs. Teachers Charity Game Is This Week

Lakewood police and local teachers will face-off in a charity basketball game on Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, WA - This week in Lakewood, you can watch your favorite civil servants battle each other for charity. The 10th annual Cops vs. Teachers game on Thursday will benefit the nonprofit Caring For Kids.

It’s once again time for local law enforcement to battle area teachers to see who will earn bragging rights for the year as the winner of the 10th annual Cops vs. Teachers basketball game.

Organized by the Clover Park Kiwanis Club and Lakes High School Key Club, this year’s event benefits Lakewood-based Caring for Kids, which provides clothing, food, toys, books and hygiene items to Lakewood low-income youth and families.

This year’s event is Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Lakes High School, 10320 Farwest Drive SW, Lakewood. Admittance is by donation only – monetary or non-perishable food items, which will be collected at the door.

There will be concessions and raffle items appropriate for the whole family. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the raffle will begin shortly after. Tip-off is 6:30 p.m. We hope to see you there cheering on our officers and our teachers/administrators at this great annual community event.
