Lakewood Council Races Tight After Latest Ballot Drop

The latest Pierce County election returns show some local races tightening.

LAKEWOOD, WA - As of Wednesday afternoon, nearly 100,000 Pierce County ballots had been counted, leaving about 36,000 left. With less than a majority of votes left to count, the election results released by Pierce County give a good look at the candidates most likely to win.

Here are the latest election results, which were released around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday:

Advisory Vote No. 17 - 70.69% repealed, 29.31% maintained
Advisory Vote No. 18 - 66.56% repealed, 33.44% maintained
Pierce County Measure 46, Filling Vacancies In Office
Yes - 56.68%
No - 43.32%
Pierce County Measure 47, Term Limits
Yes - 36.32%
No - 63.68%
