Lakewood Hit-And-Run: Police Seek Witnesses
Lakewood police are trying to find witnesses to a hit and run that occurred at the end of May along Steilacoom Boulevard.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash on May 24 while crossing Steilacoom Boulevard, and police are trying to find witnesses to the incident. The pedestrian was crossing near 88th Street Southwest around 10:30 p.m. when he was hit. The force of the impact tossed the pedestrian an estimated 15 feet.
The pedestrian was so severely injured, he had to be intubated at the scene, and is still recovering. Witnesses to the crash told police that the vehicle was "boxy" and had four doors. The vehicle was last seen leaving the scene headed eastbound, possibly bound for Custer Road or Bridgeport Way.
