Lakewood Man Hit With Coffee Mug Dies: Report

The victim got into a fight with another resident at an adult living facility over the weekend.

LAKEWOOD, WA - A 57-year-old hit with a coffee mug during a fight at an adult care center over the weekend has died, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

The fight broke out during dinner when the two men began arguing. John D. Quitorio, 54, allegedly Timothy A. Nitschke with the mug. Quitorio is facing a second-degree assault charge, according to the report.

Nitschke was knocked unconscious by the mug, according to the News Tribune. He never regained consciousness, and suffered from a preexisting brain condition.

The fight happened at a residential adult care home along the 7900 block of Onyx Court Southwest, which is just north of Steilacoom.
